Google Adsense Banned from Facebook Application

According to Facebook's New Policy, you can no longer use Google Adsense to generate revenue within your Facebook application.

If you are you a Facebook application developer and you own a Facebook application that uses Google adsense as a source of revenue, then this is a stop for you. Facebook has officialy banned Google ads on any Facebook application. Google is excluded from the preferred list of advertisers by Facebook.

Now the question is, is this a sign of corportae rivalry to cut down on Google’s ad market share and popularise its own ad network? This is a question that remains unanswered.

Well, this is definately not a good sign for developers and owners of Facebook application. It's a great loss for them! There is still a hope as Google needs to sign the Facebook terms “Platform Terms for Advertising Providers” but would Google take this extra step or not remains another question.

For now Facebook has not started blocking Facebook applications using Google adsense and may not block it going forward but its definately against the Facebook terms.

The current ban is only for Facebook applications and not for websites using Facebook connect for user sign up.

Note : The following are the list of the names of the companies which Facebook has approved to work with excluding Google Adsense :
